Susan and I did another moonwalk last week; this time near Givat Yearim, outside of Jerusalem. Once your eyes adapt to the moonlight, you can see quite well. There’s a lack of perspective, however, which means that sometimes the ground is trickier than it might otherwise be. However, the overall atmosphere makes it very worthwhile. We were out for an hour and a half, then a quick picnic – very quick, as most people were feeling the cold by then – and back to artificial light and real life.
It’s one of these experiences you have to go through, to get the full flavor. Recommended.
