…but you’ll never take Scotland out of the boy.
Newly arrived from Meatland, Ra’anana, thanks to Susan. Wonderful. (Next time, I hope they bring in the Diet version.)
If you’re Scottish, you already know what this post is about: Irn-Bru.
“Irn-Bru is around level with Coca-Cola in terms of sales in Scotland, and the third best selling soft drink in the UK after Coca-Cola and Pepsi, and consistently outsells global brands such as Fanta, Dr Pepper, Sprite and 7-Up.”
Check out the story at the Scotsman, here.
Irn-Bru is one part of my former Glasgow life that I very definitely still miss. But it is reasonably safe to assume it is a product that will never be generally available here. In random field tests – with visitors to Glasgow – Israelis and Americans and Canadians gave it a big thumbs down. A real shame.
