From BBC Watch, confirmation that impartiality is in limited supply at the BBC:
In a nutshell, this baby was killed in the last Gaza conflict. Israel was blamed. Israel denied it had anything to do with the incident. Guess who the BBC believed?
Now the UN – yes the ‘not exactly Israel loving UN‘ – have discovered Israel was telling the truth: the poor kid died from a Hamas missile that fell short. But the libel remains online.
As BBC Watch says:
The BBC’s dragging of heels on this issue and its failure to admit to the funding public that it published and widely promoted a story without having solid evidence for the main claim upon which it was based of course casts very serious doubts upon the sincerity of the corporation’s claims of commitment to accuracy and impartiality.
