Tax for thought

This is a TED talk from Nick Hanauer which is worth watching – all the way to the end:

The talk did not make the grade, and was cut by TED curator Chris Anderson from their distribution. (As you will gather, that hasn’t stopped the video spreading the word.) Too political? Too controversial?

There is a lot of merit in what Hanauer says, and it was good to see someone in his position canvassing from a less selfish perspective than many other billionaire enrepreneurs (or plain old business moguls).

As there’s talk going around just now about a “fiscal cliff”, it’s important to all of us that we remain open to questioning the economic assumptions that seem so ingrained.

Bottom line: what if he is right?
