In today’s print edition of the Jerusalem Post (in the You Couldn’t Make It Up Department) is this piece:

“A Moroccan man was reportedly jailed Wednesday for flying an Israeli flag over his house in a desperate bid to grab authorities’ attention over his family’s unsanitary living conditions. The 42 year old father of three was arrested and charged with “sacrilege” by the local district attorney in the primarily Berber city of Nador, northern Morocco. The family of the man – an itinerant vegetable seller identified only as Muhammad – said he is their sole breadwinner and pleaded with authorities to free him. They said he raised the flag as an act of desperation after water and electricity to their home had been cut.”
