I tend not to do reviews of the non-fiction stuff I read – and I read a fair bit of it – most of which I consume the old fashioned way. Generally, maps and figures do not show up well enough in any Kindle format. Of course, the disadvantage of books is that they are heavy, and shipping can be a bit of a barrier. The Book Depository does do great deals, so it’s not like my supply lines are blocked. However, buying a ton of books at a decent price, and schlepping them back yourself is much more fun!
So, without further ado, a pictorial record of my purchases:

The nuts and bolts of operational warfare in the time of Napoleon. I wonder how similar it will be to the wargames on the topic?

Graphic novels – aka comics – are far too underrated. This one came highly recommended. Makes me sorry I stopped buying comics.
Finally, a tip of the hat by way of thanks to Doug Dery, whose blog at Consimworld was the source of recommendations for most of these purchases. I have a lot of good reading ahead of me.
