We were out with friends on motzei Shabbat, having a meal at one of our favorite places: the micro-brewery and restaurant, Jems. In the midst of the proceedings, there was a shout calling the crowd to order. And then, from behind the bar, as they lit the candles for the fourth night of Chanukah, the boss and his aid started belting out the brachot (blessings) and songs. And people joined in. I love it. A simple, joyful experience.
